Are dogs permitted on the trolleys?

Service Dogs as defined in the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted on all tours.  (Please note that therapy dogs and emotional support dogs do not qualify as Service Dogs.)

In addition to Service Dogs, (pet) dogs weighing under 25 pounds are welcome on the tours provided they remain in the owner’s lap during the tour. Dogs must be current on rabies and other vaccinations and must be ‘stranger’ and ‘other-dog’ friendly. One grown-up per pooch, please.


My plans have changed.  Is it possible to get a refund?

Scheduled, public tours are fully refundable when cancelled up to 24 hours prior to departure.  No problem!  To cancel a tour, please email info@graylineasheville.com or call 828-251-TOUR (8687).


Are the trolleys wheelchair accessible?

Most but not all trolleys are wheelchair accessible.  To ensure the best tour experience for all, please call ahead, preferably no later than the day before you wish to take the tour.


Are babies/children allowed on the trolley?

Yes, children four years and under are welcome on the trolley for free. Please be aware there are no seat belts for car seats. We recommend the Hop-On/Hop-Off tour rather than the Overview Tour for families with young children so that if the children need to have a break from the live tour narration families can get off at a stop and make it more “bite-sized.”


Does the Hop-On/Hop-Off Tour visit Biltmore?

The tours do not include the Biltmore Estate but do include Biltmore Village.  Biltmore Village, which is adjacent to the main entrance of the Biltmore Estate, was originally built as a planned community for estate workers. Today it is a quaint yet bustling shopping and dining destination. The Hop-On/Hop-Off Tour has three stops within Biltmore Village.
